Parent Child Baby Classes at North Kirkland Community Center

North Kirkland Community Center has a wonderful assortment of Baby Classes which are all Mommy and Me or Parent / Child or Caretaker / Child.  Below is a listing of various offerings available year round:

Musical Expressions for Babies - Ages 1 month to 15 months

A fun, creative class that integrates music with body movement, singing and dancing.  They explore different musical instruments such as as the guitar, violin, drums, multicultural rhythm instruments and much more. Fall courses are 5 weeks and 4 weeks and meet for 45 minutes every Saturday morning.  Cost is $33 for the week course and $27 for the 4 week course for residents of Kirkland.  Nonresidents pay a little extra. 

Musical Expressions for Toddlers - Ages 15 months to 2 years

This class is similar to the Musical Expressions for Babies Class, but the focus is on developing kinesthetic skills through music and dance. Fall courses are 5 weeks and 4 weeks and meet for 45 minutes every Saturday morning.  Cost is $33 for the week course and $27 for the 4 week course for residents of Kirkland. Nonresidents pay a little extra. 

Nurturing Pathways for Babies - Ages 2 months to Pre-walking

This class focuses on enriching your baby's development.  From fun activities to enjoy tummy time, to stimulating baby's motor skills and bonding with baby through movement, this class features a unique dance program for you and your baby.  Fall classes are 12 weeks and meet Tuesday mornings for 1 hour.  Cost for Kirkland residents is $123 and $148 for Nonresidents.

Nurturing Pathways for Waddlers - Ages 12 months - 24 months (Walkers)

Discover new ways to move with your waddler while exploring dance concepts through rhythmic movement, props, and musical instruments.  Your child will develop motor coordination, language skills and musical intelligence while participating in this class.  Fall classes are 12 weeks and meet Tuesday mornings for 1 hour.  Cost for Kirkland residents is $123 and $148 for Nonresidents.

Nurturing Pathways for Toddlers - Ages 24 months - 3 years

Toddlers will develop creativity and attention span in this research bases movement and music program that promotes healthy development using rhythmic exercises, props, musical instruments and an obstacle course.  Toddlers will master their motor skills in this fun and challenging class. Fall program is 12 weeks and meets Tuesday mornings for 1 hour.  Kirkland residents pay $123 and Nonresidents pay $148.

Baby Boogie Woogie - Ages 12 months to 36 months

This music class sings all the old favorites, and babies will make their own music with an assortment of instruments.  the Itsy Bitsy Spider and Farmer in the Dell are waiting for your little one.  Classes are 8 weeks and meet Monday mornings for 45 minutes.  Cost for Kirkland residents is $57 and $68 for Nonresidents.

Holiday Boogie Woogie - Ages 12 months to 36 months

This Holiday version of Boogie Woogie meets for 5 weeks from November 15th through December 13th and uses Holiday tunes to get your little ones into the spirit.  Classes are still held Monday mornings and cost $36 for Residents and $43 for Nonresidents.

Messy Art for Twos with Parent - 2 Year Olds

This great exploratory art class for the messy 2 year old is a fabulous session of smearing paint and kneading dough, a sensory of colors and mixing textures.  Paint, Pasta, Dough, Feathers, Salt Sand and Pudding are used as raw materials.  Classes are held year round and vary from 3-4 week sessions.  They are held Monday or Thursday mornings and cost for Kirkland residents is $24, $29 for Nonresidents.
