hey ues moms!
i am NOT a mommy (yet) but I have been a happy upper eastsider for the last five years. i'm an actress and a cake decorator at the popular neighborhood bakery, two little red hens, and i just wrote and illustrated my very first children's book and i wanted to share it with my fellow ues-ers! the book is called THE ADVENTURES OF PETER NEVERWORTHY and his INCREDIBLE DOG and is a story about imagining your potential and discovering how incredible you already are. right now i'm publishing the book myself, through a wonderful webiste called www.blurb.com. i encourage you to go on the website, search for the title of my book, and check it out! you can even preview the first 15 pages, to get a taste! as an actress, i'm part of the arts-education theatre company THE STORY PIRATES, which takes original material written by kids and creates musical sketch comedy skits (www.storypirates.org). THE STORY PIRATES are a wonderful organization which teaches in-school and after school writing workshops when not blowing kids minds with our performances. $1 from each sale of my book will go directly towards story pirates!! maybe some of your kids already know the pirates, and if they don't, i hope they get to meet us soon!
