Not to categorize Flying Squirrell as a baby superstore by any means, t
his gem of a store carries necessities for infants, toys, clothing, books and features items by local designers, artists, and independent manufacturers. So it's a lovely alternative. They also carry assortments from the standard big players. The best part is that many of the items are "nearly new", i.e., second-hand. There is a playroom in the store for little ones to feel more comfortable while mom and dad browse. Whenever possible, Flying Squirrel tries to avoid hefty price tags for items they carry so you save money while feeling better about re-using hefty plastic items like exersaucers. This shop is really open to the local community of families and strives to be a neighborhood hang-out to relax and exchange ideas. For all these qualities, we give Flying Squirrel our heart of approval.
